After patiently waiting for the perfect moment to strike, Rozenstruik sent his opponent to the canvas with a two-punch combination late in the first round.
The referee ended the fight with less than one second remaining when the Surinamese fighter’s brutal hammer fists left Sakai dazed and bleeding on the deck.
Rozenstruik was awarded Performance of the Night for the first-round TKO victory, the 12th win of his professional MMA career.

“As soon as I heard the (10-second) clock — tock, tock, tock — I faked him with the right, hit him with the left and hit him with the right again,” Rozenstruik said after the win.
“I want to fight somebody that is above me. It’s a short list, but I’m ready.
“Anybody that’s ranked above me makes sense. There’s the top five there. I’m coming for you guys. I’m coming.”
Two years ago, Rozenstruik finished Dutch fighter Alistair Overeem via TKO at 4:56 of the fifth and final round in Washington, the latest a UFC heavyweight bout has ever ended.
The 33-year-old lost his previous encounter in the Octagon, a unanimous decision defeat against France’s Ciryl Gane back in February.
