Premier League clubs now have just three full days to bundle any further transfer business over the line before Friday’s September 1 deadline. Most teams still have work to do in the market before they’re settled on their squad meaning we could be set for a frantic sprint to the finish line.

Manchester United are continuing to work on the arrival of a new left-back for Erik ten Hag and several avenues are currently being explored.

But there is also a chance other players could arrive with a goalkeeper and midfielder also currently of interest.

Elsewhere, Liverpool supporters are desperately awaiting movement on the signing of another defensive midfielder following their gutsy 2-1 victory at Newcastle.

Jurgen Klopp has failed to clarify how serious the Reds are about landing an additional No.6 after bringing in Wataru Endo from Stuttgart but there is still a chance of midfield and defensive reinforcements before the deadline.

Arsenal, Chelsea and Tottenham also remain busy in terms of outgoings and there is still every chance there could be further arrivals, too.
