Dominik Szoboszlai has revealed that Mohamed Salah has confirmed that he ‘wants to stay’ at Anfield during private talks with his Liverpool team-mates. The Egyptian’s uncertain future has continued to dominate the headlines in recent days after Al Ittihad submitted a lucrative bid worth up to \u00a3150million including add-ons for the 31-year-old forward.<\/p>\n
Salah cut a reserved, emotionless figure after hitting the back of the net on Sunday in Liverpool’s 3-0 demolition of Aston Villa on Merseyside.<\/p>\n
Yet despite his muted celebrations, fellow goalscorer Szoboszlai has now shed light on Salah’s situation – reassuring Liverpool supporters that their Egyptian king is committed to Jurgen Klopp’s project despite the outside noise.<\/p>\n
The Hungarian playmaker told BBC Sport: “You know it is football everyone is talking. We are really happy that he has stayed.<\/p>\n
“We are of course speaking between each other but he wants to stay, he wants to be here and be with us. We are really happy – we need people in the team like him.”<\/p>\n
