{"id":287409,"date":"2023-09-12T22:34:40","date_gmt":"2023-09-12T22:34:40","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/sportsloveme.com\/?p=287409"},"modified":"2023-09-12T22:34:40","modified_gmt":"2023-09-12T22:34:40","slug":"player-ratings-bellingham-bossed-it-and-rashford-was-a-menace","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sportsloveme.com\/soccer\/player-ratings-bellingham-bossed-it-and-rashford-was-a-menace\/","title":{"rendered":"PLAYER RATINGS: Bellingham bossed it and Rashford was a menace"},"content":{"rendered":"<h1>PLAYER RATINGS: Jude Bellingham bossed it for England and Marcus Rashford was a menace, but Scotland duo Andy Robertson and\u00a0Billy Gilmour had a night to forget<\/h1>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Jude Bellingham had a fine game as he registered a goal and an assist\u00a0<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Marcus Rashford was a constant threat down the left wing for England\u00a0<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><b>Andy Robertson and Billy Gilmour had difficult nights for the hosts<\/b><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>England brought Scotland crashing back down to earth with a comfortable 3-1 victory in a friendly at Hampden Park with Phil Foden, Jude Bellingham and Harry Kane on target on Tuesday night.<\/p>\n<p>After five successive Euro 2024 qualifying wins there was a euphoric atmosphere amongst the Tartan Army who sensed an opportunity for a first home win against England since 1985.<\/p>\n<p>But once Foden turned in Kyle Walker&#8217;s stray shot in the 32nd minute and then Real Madrid&#8217;s Bellingham punished an Andy Robertson error three minutes later the party went flat.<\/p>\n<p>An own goal by substitute Harry Maguire in the 67th minute raised the decibel level again and Steve Clarke&#8217;s side briefly made life uncomfortable for England before captain Kane ended Scotland&#8217;s hopes with a typically clinical finish.<\/p>\n<p>Mail Sport&#8217;s CRAIG HOPE rated the players on Tuesday night.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i.dailymail.co.uk\/1s\/2023\/09\/12\/22\/75353431-0-image-a-52_1694553556629.jpg\" height=\"423\" width=\"634\"><\/p>\n<p>England&#8217;s Jude Bellingham scored the second goal and set up Harry Kane for the third<\/p>\n<p>Your browser does not support iframes.<\/p>\n<h2>SCOTLAND (3-5-1-1)<\/h2>\n<p><span>Angus Gunn 6.5\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Confident punch from early corner but was left exposed for goals. More to worry about at the other end.<\/p>\n<p><span>Aaron Hickey 5.5\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Confidence showed with early nutmeg of Rashford. England man soon got upper hand.<\/p>\n<p><span>Scott McTominay 6\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>A couple of powerful surges, but class of opposition ultimately told. Nothing he could do for own goal.<\/p>\n<p><span>Kyle Walker 7.5\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Not far away from second goal in as many games. It was his strike that led to Foden opener. Solid.<\/p>\n<p><span>Marc Guehi 6.5\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Did what he had to during 45 minutes with minimal fuss before making way. Easy enough evening.<\/p>\n<p><span>Lewis Dunk 7.5\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Can be proud of showing and offered real physical presence. Smart in possession and aggressive in the tackle.<\/p>\n<p><span>Declan Rice 7\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Just that little bit quicker and stronger than the opposition. Still going strong come the end.<\/p>\n<p><span>Jude Bellingham 8.5\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Bossed contest as first half closed. Started move that led to his goal. Assist for Kane was sensational.<\/p>\n<p><span>Phil Foden 8\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Fluffed early chance but made no mistake from six yards. A menace \u2014 he really looked at his sharpest.
