Lance Stroll miraculously walked away from a massive crash after slamming into a wall during qualifying for the Singapore Grand Prix.

Stroll left his Aston Martin in bits after a high speed accident at the final corner of the Marina Bay circuit during Q1.

The Canadian driver lost control of the car as he rounded the final corner onto the pit straight, Stroll was unable to correct the car’s slide and ended up smashing into the wall at high speed.

The impact completely tore off the front left wheel which went flying across the track, whilst Stroll and the rest of the car came to rest in the middle of the track after briefly becoming airborne.

Aston Martin Team Principal Mike Krack was quickly on the team radio to contact Stroll who miraculously replied he was fine and soon climbed out of the car after the session was immediately red flagged.

Stroll’s 150mph crash saw him rocked around in the cockpit but the incredible safety features on modern day F1 cars protected him from any serious damage.

Cockpit footage showed Stroll quickly removed his hands before making impact with the wall, saving any nasty injuries that he could’ve sustained just weeks after Daniel Ricciardo suffered seven fractures to his left hand in the Dutch Grand Prix.

Stroll was taken to the medical centre to be assessed, as per F1 regulations. Doctors will then be able to assess any damage that the 24-year-old sustained before he is passed fit to race on Sunday.

Q2 took over 15 minutes to begin after extensive repair work was needed to the safety barriers by the side of the track. The session restarted without Oscar Piastri who fell victim to the red flag with him in the bottom five at the time of Stroll’s crash – also out in Q1 was Zhou Guanyu, Logan Sargeant and Valtteri Bottas.
