Pep Guardiola has confirmed Bernardo Silva will miss Manchester City\u2019s clash with Nottingham Forest on Saturday due to injury.<\/p>\n
The Portugal international was forced off in the first half of City\u2019s 3-1 victory over Red Star Belgrade in the Champions League on Tuesday evening.<\/p>\n
Speaking after the game, Guardiola said: \u2018He didn\u2019t say anything, I didn\u2019t speak with the doctors but apparently for the next games he will not be available to play.\u2019<\/p>\n
It remains unclear whether Silva will be available for City\u2019s Carabao Cup tie against Newcastle United next Wednesday.<\/p>\n
City are already without Kevin De Bruyne, while Jack Grealish and Mateo Kovacic were unable to make the bench for City\u2019s Champions League opener on Tuesday.<\/p>\n

\u2018When we have five really, really important players injured, to sustain that for a long, long time will be difficult,\u2019 Guardiola said.<\/p>\n
\u2018But it is what it is. We cannot have, with the salaries, with the transfers, with the budget, 55 players, it would cause chaos for the club.<\/p>\n
\u2018Sometimes it will happen, unfortunately that\u2019s what it is.<\/p>\n
\u2018A long time for Kevin, John [Stones] still didn\u2019t play, it\u2019s a little bit long, maybe Kova is coming back, Jack [Grealish] is maybe there in one week, 10 days.<\/p>\n
\u2018But after we have to make the conditions or we are in trouble. It is what it is, I\u2019m not going to say,\u2019 oh, we have a lot of injuries\u2019. With the players that we have we\u2019ll go for it.\u2019<\/p>\n
