Mercedes\u00a0are expected to roll out a new set of upgrades towards the back end of the year. George Russell claims\u00a0there are “a few more things to come” as the Silver Arrows battle it out for second place in the constructors rankings.<\/p>\n
Mercedes are currently placed second in the standings, 24 points ahead of\u00a0Ferrari\u00a0and 72 in front of Aston Martin. However, they gave up ground on both at the Singapore Grand Prix last weekend.<\/p>\n
Ferrari’s Carlos Sainz Jr snapped Max Verstappen’s 10-race win streak with victory while his team-mate Charles Leclerc came fourth. Hamilton did manage to get a podium finish in third but McLaren’s Lando Norris did one better in second as Oscar Piastri came seventh.<\/p>\n
Russell, on the other hand, had his race ended prematurely after clipping a barrier on the final lap. The collision\u00a0sent him across the track where he crashed into the barriers on the other side.<\/p>\n

Mercedes are hoping to ensure they don’t give up any more points to their rivals by rolling out some improvements to their cars with Russell revealing there are a few on their way.\u00a0<\/p>\n
“In all honesty, there’ll be a few more little things to come towards the end of the season, which will aid our learning into next season,” he said.\u00a0Mercedes have struggled to replicate the success of the past decade in recent years but Russell hopes they can learn from their mistakes and come back stronger next season.<\/p>\n

More info<\/p>\n <\/p>\n “Yeah, I think we’ve made some good gains this season,” he said. “I think it’s clear that we made some mistakes ahead of the 2022 season, and again over this winter, but I\u2019m definitely confident that these mistakes are going to aid us and help us a lot for the future.<\/p>\n “And, you know, you need those setbacks, and you need those errors to set you on the right path. And I think, as a team, we’re incredibly motivated to get back to the top. And as I said, I think the lessons we’ve learned over these two years, will only help us in the years to come.”<\/p>\n
