Fans have poked fun at beleaguered Chelsea after the Blues were finally given the green light on a \u00a340million shirt sponsorship deal.<\/p>\n
The Blues have been playing without a shirt sponsor since the start of the season as the Premier League vetted their deal sports data company Infinite Athlete. According to The Telegraph, the tie-up has been formally approved, meaning the company will appear on the front of their shirts soon.<\/p>\n
The deal is reportedly worth in the region of \u00a340million a year, with an official announcement by the club expected imminently. Little is known about Infinite Athlete, which has just 7,000 followers on X (formerly Twitter).<\/p>\n

It\u2019s bio on the social media platform reads: \u201cInfinite Athlete creates a single technological foundation across all major sports, upon which innovative sports technology and products are built.\u201d<\/p>\n
While many Chelsea fans have welcomed the belated news, other supporters have taken it as an opportunity to mock the club following their abysmal start to the season. Alluding to the team\u2019s run of three games without a goal, one quipped: \u201cInfinite goal droughts.\u201d<\/p>\n

Another joked: \u201cInfinite transfer budget more like.\u201d One Chelsea fan bemoaned: \u201cThey should back out as why would any company want to sponsor a mess like our club?\u201d<\/p>\n
Another asked: \u201cAny news on why the PL took over 2 months?\u201d One fan, with a hint of sarcasm, commented: \u201cYeah!!! More money to spend on kids!\u201d<\/p>\n
