Manchester United have confirmed that Antony has returned to training and is available for selection amid allegations he domestically abused his former girlfriend.<\/p>\n

Antony\u2019s former partner, Gabriela Cavallin,\u00a0has alleged that she has been physically attacked by the 23-year-old on multiple occasions during their time together in Manchester and in their native Brazil.<\/p>\n
Antony, who denies the accusations made by Cavallin,\u00a0was been placed on an indefinite leave of absence by United.<\/p>\n
But United have now welcomed him back while \u2018police inquiries proceed\u2019 into his actions.<\/p>\n
\u2018Since allegations were first made in June, Antony has co-operated with police inquiries in both Brazil and the UK, and he continues to do so,\u2019 United said in a statement.<\/p>\n
\u2018As Antony\u2019s employer, Manchester United has decided that he will resume training at Carrington, and be available for selection, while police inquiries proceed. This will be kept under review pending further developments in the case.<\/p>\n

It was reported on Wednesday that Antony has returned to the UK and has agreed to meet Greater Manchester Police over the allegations of assault.<\/p>\n
Antony was voluntarily\u00a0interviewed by police in Brazil in June and has not been arrested or charged.<\/p>\n
The winger\u00a0was dropped from Brazil\u2019s national side\u00a0during the international break earlier this month amid the allegations.<\/p>\n
