Justin Thomas and Brooks Koepka have had their say after Koepka allegedly hit out at Thomas and a number of other PGA Tour stars following his move to LIV Golf. On Wednesday, an excerpt of Alan Shipnuck’s soon-to-be-released book ‘LIV & Let Die’ sent shockwaves across the world of golf.

The book – which dives into the division between the PGA Tour and LIV – claimed that Koepka let out an expletive rant against Thomas and co after he was criticized for joining the Saudi-backed league. Fire Pit Collective’s Shipnuck wrote: “Despite the relaxed setting, Koepka radiated some heat when reflecting on his career change.

“’F*** all of those country club kids who talk shit about me,’ he said, referring to the likes of Justin Thomas, Jordan Spieth and others. ‘’You think I give a f*** what they think? You think I care what people say about me? I just had three surgeries, and I’m supposed to turn down $130 million.

“I grew up with nothing. After signing that contract, the first person I called was my mom. We both cried.'” A second excerpt then claimed that an unnamed LIV Golf player took aim at Rory McIlroy, over his hard stance against the breakaway circuit.

Don’t miss…

One man clearly unhappy with the release of the alleged claims was Thomas, who took to Twitter to vent his frustrations. “I’d like to speak on behalf of a lot of Tour players and say we’re sick of @AlanShipnuck doing what he does,” Thomas wrote.

“Bring positivity and good stories to help grow the game of golf, not try and make money bashing guys, earning zero trust, with a lot of incorrect information. Ridiculous.” He was soon echoed by his Ryder Cup team Koepka too.

We use your sign-up to provide content in ways you’ve consented to and to improve our understanding of you. LlV v. Tour has been incredibly divisive and I captured that. It’s not my role to whitewash things.”
