{"id":290704,"date":"2023-10-10T18:04:39","date_gmt":"2023-10-10T18:04:39","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/sportsloveme.com\/?p=290704"},"modified":"2023-10-10T18:04:39","modified_gmt":"2023-10-10T18:04:39","slug":"norwich-city-hailed-by-fans-after-mental-health-awareness-video","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sportsloveme.com\/soccer\/norwich-city-hailed-by-fans-after-mental-health-awareness-video\/","title":{"rendered":"Norwich City hailed by fans after mental health awareness video"},"content":{"rendered":"<h1>Norwich City hailed by fans for the &#8216;best bit of awareness&#8217; to mark World Mental Health Day&#8230; with the club posting a heart-wrenching video which has left social media users in tears<\/h1>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Norwich City have posted a video to mark World Mental Health Day on Tuesday<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>The video&#8217;s message has been hailed by players, celebrities and supporters\u00a0<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Norwich also wore the Samaritans logo in their weekend clash with Coventry\u00a0<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Roman Kemp has led the praise for Norwich City, after the club&#8217;s social media account posted a heart-wrenching video to mark World Mental Health Day.<\/p>\n<p>The video posted from the account of the Championship side left some watchers in tears, with one person writing that the ending &#8216;hits like a tonne of bricks&#8217;.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>It shows two Norwich City fans attending a number of matches together, with one appearing to be quiet and reserved, with the other making a lot of noise and jumping around when his side scores.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The video then goes dark and has a message which reads: &#8216;At times, it can be obvious when someone is struggling to cope.&#8217;<\/p>\n<p>It then shows the quiet supporter going to the game without his friend and laying a scarf over where they had been sitting, while getting a tap of support on the back from someone on the row behind.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i.dailymail.co.uk\/1s\/2023\/10\/10\/14\/76381839-12614777-image-a-32_1696945620749.jpg\" height=\"322\" width=\"634\"><\/p>\n<p>Norwich City have been hailed by supporters for their video to mark World Mental Health Day<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i.dailymail.co.uk\/1s\/2023\/10\/10\/15\/76381829-12614777-The_video_shows_the_fan_on_the_right_smiling_and_jumping_up_to_c-a-5_1696948716179.jpg\" height=\"322\" width=\"634\"><\/p>\n<p>The video shows the fan on the right smiling and jumping up to celebrate while the other fan is more quiet and reserved<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i.dailymail.co.uk\/1s\/2023\/10\/10\/15\/76381833-12614777-The_video_then_shows_the_supporter_on_the_left_showing_up_to_a_m-a-6_1696948716181.jpg\" height=\"322\" width=\"634\"><\/p>\n<p>The video then shows the supporter on the left showing up to a match alone without his friend\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The message then continues: &#8216;But sometimes, the signs are harder to spot. Or call Samaritans for free 24\/7 on 116 123.&#8217;<\/p>\n<p>Supporters have hailed the message from the club, with radio presenter Kemp writing: &#8216;<span>This video from @NorwichCityFC is the best bit of Mental Health Awareness I&#8217;ve ever seen&#8230; watch until the end.&#8217;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>He later added a further message which read: &#8216;This is so fantastic guys, honestly you&#8217;ve conveyed the truth so beautifully. Genuinely, thank you.&#8217;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>HLTCO wrote on X, formerly Twitter: &#8216;<\/span>What a fantastic video and message this is from Norwich City. Check in on the people you care about.&#8217;<\/p>\n<p>TV personality Thomas Skinner added: &#8216;This made me cry. Well done @NorwichCityFC for doing this powerful video.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>&#8216;Let&#8217;s all check on our pals around us. It can be tough to see who is struggling.
