Manchester United cruised to a 3-0 victory over Barnsley during a friendly match on Tuesday afternoon.\u00a0<\/p>\n
The Red Devils took on the League One side in a\u00a0behind-closed-doors friendly at Carrington, which featured a number of fringe first-team players.<\/p>\n
The likes of winger Antony and midfielder Donny van de Beek started in the match, both of whom have struggled for game time in recent weeks and months.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Antony only recently returned to the first-team squad after a string of domestic abuse allegations were made against him by former partners. He has strenuously denied all claims made against him.<\/p>\n
Van de Beek, meanwhile, has made just one Premier League appearance for the Red Devils this year – after coming on in the 88th minute of their defeat to Crystal Palace.\u00a0<\/p>\n

However, the former Ajax playmaker managed to put his recent struggles behind him as he managed to get on the scoresheet at Carrington, according to the Manchester Evening News.\u00a0<\/p>\n
There had been hopes that youngster Kobbie Mainoo would be fit for the occasion however the 18-year-old missed out on the match as he continues his recovery.\u00a0<\/p>\n
