{"id":290861,"date":"2023-10-12T08:24:15","date_gmt":"2023-10-12T08:24:15","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/sportsloveme.com\/?p=290861"},"modified":"2023-10-12T08:24:15","modified_gmt":"2023-10-12T08:24:15","slug":"dettori-set-to-race-in-the-united-states-despite-retirement-vow","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sportsloveme.com\/horse-racing\/dettori-set-to-race-in-the-united-states-despite-retirement-vow\/","title":{"rendered":"Dettori set to race in the United States despite retirement vow"},"content":{"rendered":"<h1>Frankie Dettori CANCELS his plan to retire and plots a move to the US to try to win the Kentucky Derby, as 52-year-old admits &#8216;I can&#8217;t stop while winning&#8217; just a week before his last British race<\/h1>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Frankie Dettori has revealed plans to move to the US despite vowing to retire\u00a0<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>The legendary jockey previously claimed the 2023 season would be his last\u00a0<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>The 52-year-old said he &#8216;can&#8217;t stop&#8217; and wanted to continue his winning run\u00a0<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Legendary jockey Frankie Dettori has revealed he will put his retirement plans on ice by moving to the United States to continue racing &#8211; after previously claiming the 2023 season would be his last in the saddle.<\/p>\n<p>Last December Dettori announced his plans to end his incredible career in horse racing after 35 years in the sport, having been a champion jockey on three occasions and 77 Royal Ascot winners.<\/p>\n<p>But Dettori, 52, claimed he &#8216;can&#8217;t stop&#8217; and was reluctant to end his winning streak as he refused to put a time frame on his upcoming spell in the States.<\/p>\n<p>He told the Times: &#8216;I just can&#8217;t stop.
