Harry Kane has bid a personal farewell to his former Tottenham colleagues at the club’s Enfield HQ on Tuesday.

The England captain, Mail Sport has learned, reconnected with his former players and staff at the club’s training ground ahead of the Euro 2024 clash versus Italy on Tuesday night.

We exclusively revealed on October 6 that Kane would be granted permission by Spurs to access all parts of the training facility to reconvene with the colleagues he has grown to know so well over the years.

England arrived at Tottenham’s training facility on Thursday and prior to today Kane had kept a low profile at his former training base.

Gareth Southgate’s side leave Enfield today ahead of this evening’s crucial qualifier versus Italy and Kane has taken time out of his preparations to enter Tottenham’s first-team training facilities as preparations for Monday’s clash against Fulham get underway to reacquaint himself with ex-team mates.

The prolific striker – the club’s all-time leading goalscorer – left Spurs earlier this year after completing a £120million move to Bayern Munich.

The transfer brought the curtain down on Kane’s illustrious career with the north London club, during which he scored 280 goals.

But the circumstances of his summer switch to Germany meant he could not say in-person farewells to players and staff in the hours ahead of his departure.

Tottenham and Bayern agreed a deal in principle for Kane’s transfer on the evening of August 10.

Kane has made a blistering start to life at Bayern Munich with nine goals scored in 10 games

The morning after, while the formalities of his move were being completed, Kane requested he be allowed to train with his team-mates for the final time as Ange Postecoglou prepared his players for their Premier League opener at Brentford on August 13 – the Australian coach’s first competitive match in charge.

However, because a deal with Bayern was already in place, Tottenham denied Kane access to training that day because they felt it was inappropriate for him to do so when he was on the brink of joining another club.

The prospect of Kane sustaining an injury that could have threatened the switch to Bayern was also factor in the decision to prevent him from training.

But Kane has now had the opportunity to say goodbye to at least some of his former colleagues before returning to Germany.
