and unveil a mosaic of his 2022 title-winning goal against Aston Villa at the City Football Academy<\/h1>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Ilkay Gundogan left the Etihad to join Barcelona on a free transfer this summer\u00a0<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>City have unveiled a mosaic of him by one of their training pitches in his honour<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><span>Chairman Khaldoon Al Mubarak says he&#8217;s an important pillar of the club&#8217;s history<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Manchester City have dedicated a training pitch to Treble-winning captain Ilkay Gundogan.<\/p>\n<p>The midfielder, who turned 33 on Tuesday, left the club for Barcelona after seven years over the summer and becomes the latest City great to be bestowed a lasting tribute.<\/p>\n<p>Gundogan\u2019s title-winning goal against Aston Villa, in the dramatic 3-2 final day victory in 2022, has been depicted as a mosaic beside the pitch at the City Football Academy.<\/p>\n<p>\u2018On behalf of everyone associated with Manchester City, it is really my privilege and honour to unveil this mosaic that is a tribute to every accomplishment you\u2019ve made over the years,\u2019 chairman Khaldoon Al Mubarak said.<\/p>\n<p>\u2018You have been an important leader, an important pillar of the history of this club that will never be forgotten.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i.dailymail.co.uk\/1s\/2023\/10\/24\/09\/76926089-12665055-image-a-27_1698134786363.jpg\" height=\"358\" width=\"634\"><\/p>\n<p>Manchester City have dedicated a training pitch to Etihad legend llkay Gundogan &#8211;
