leaked online showing fans clashing on their way to St James&#8217; Park<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><span>The Magpies are looking to follow off from their impressive win against PSG<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Newcastle and Borussia Dortmund fans have clashed on their way to St James&#8217; Park ahead of tonight&#8217;s Champions League group stage match.<\/p>\n<p>A video has circulated online with two fans from the opposing sides throwing punches at each other over a railing separating the home and away supporters.<\/p>\n<p>Another fan, appearing to wear a Borussia Dortmund scarf, throws a punch, while a Newcastle supporter steps onto the railing but is pulled away by police.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, another video showed the huge police presence as Borussia Dortmund fans marched towards the stadium.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Police had promised a visible presence in Newcastle city centre ahead of tonight&#8217;s clash, after trouble had previously flared up before the Magpies&#8217; 4-1 victory over PSG at St James&#8217; Park on October 4.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i.dailymail.co.uk\/1s\/2023\/10\/25\/19\/76998559-12672289-image-m-12_1698260291358.jpg\" height=\"945\" width=\"634\"><\/p>\n<p>Newcastle and Borussia Dortmund fans clashed before their Champions League clash<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i.dailymail.co.uk\/1s\/2023\/10\/25\/19\/76998561-12672289-image-a-13_1698260341703.jpg\" height=\"410\" width=\"634\"><\/p>\n<p>Borussia Dortmund fans were marched to the stadium surrounded by a big police presence (no indication that any of the supporters pictured were involved in clashes)<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i.dailymail.co.uk\/1s\/2023\/10\/25\/20\/76998639-12672289-image-m-15_1698260451040.jpg\" height=\"397\" width=\"634\"><\/p>\n<p>Police had promised an increased presence ahead of tonight&#8217;s match following troubles before Newcastle&#8217;s clash with PSG earlier this month<\/p>\n<p>On that occasion, the supporters were seen walking past each other with police in-between, as a number of items including bottles and flares were seen flying through the air.<\/p>\n<p>A PSG fan could also be seen punching a Newcastle supporter on that occasion, as fans of the French club marched towards the stadium.<\/p>\n<p>Borussia Dortmund fans had also planned to march before tonight&#8217;s match, leading to Northumbria Police insisting there would be a &#8216;proportionate policing response&#8217;.<\/p>\n<p>Fan marches are a common aspect of European away days for supporters and can, sometimes, lead to the two sets of supporters clashing prior to kick-off.<\/p>\n<p>Newcastle will be looking to follow off from their excellent victory over PSG last time out in the Champions League.<\/p>\n<p>The Magpies are top of the &#8216;Group of Death&#8217;
