What was your reaction to that, given you&#8217;ve got them in a couple of games time?&#8217; a journalist asked Cummins as the Aussie skipper stifled a laugh.<\/p>\n<p>&#8216;Obviously got them in a couple of games time, so we&#8217;ll have a close look there,&#8217; Cummins said as he tried to keep a straight face.<\/p>\n<p>&#8216;Yeah, it was sad to see.&#8217;<\/p>\n<p>Cummins couldn&#8217;t hold it any longer after saying that, bursting into laughter.<\/p>\n<p>&#8216;I don&#8217;t have much more for you.&#8217;<\/p>\n<p>The Aussies have bigger headaches than how England are travelling, including the possible returns of\u00a0Marcus Stoinis from a calf injury and Travis Head from a fractured hand.<\/p>\n<p>Both could be available for Sunday&#8217;s match against New Zealand which creates a selection conundrum, with Marnus Labuschagne likely to be the unlucky player to miss out.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i.dailymail.co.uk\/1s\/2023\/10\/28\/01\/77102719-12681925-image-a-1_1698453399092.jpg\" height=\"423\" width=\"634\"><\/p>\n<p>Travis Head is returning from a fractured hand and could play against New Zealand on Sunday<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i.dailymail.co.uk\/1s\/2023\/10\/28\/01\/77102733-12681925-image-a-2_1698453402807.jpg\" height=\"380\" width=\"634\"><\/p>\n<p>Marcus Stoinis is also racing the clock with a calf complaint, but could also be available<\/p>\n<p>Cummins said they would be assessed on Sunday and a decision made then.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>&#8216;Don&#8217;t know to be honest,&#8217; Cummins responded when asked about the pair&#8217;s fitness levels.<\/p>\n<p>&#8216;They both trained on game day a couple of days ago, so we&#8217;ll see.&#8217;<\/p>\n<p>Cummins added that the Aussies are looking forward to locking horns with the in-form Kiwis in a rivalry that is always intense but respectful.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>&#8216;Most of the Kiwis are pretty placid,&#8217; Cummins said on Friday.<\/p>\n<p>&#8216;We&#8217;re pretty similar. We&#8217;ve played a lot of cricket with these guys, some of these guys are really good mates with our players.<\/p>\n<p>&#8216;If anything, it makes you want to beat your mates even more.&#8217;<\/p>\n<p>&#8216;It will be intense out there,&#8217;
