Andy Murray says he has ‘a retirement date in mind’ ahead of Wimbledon

Andy Murray has been given a nightmare draw in the Paris Masters as he will face nemesis Alex de Minaur in the first round. The Brit has lost to De Minaur in all five of their meetings with the Aussie proving an extremely tricky opponent for the veteran. Murray most recent defeat to De Minaur came in the first round of the China Open. But will be looking to take his revenge in France.

Novak Djokovic has been given a bye but drawn in the same side as Jannik Sinner and Ben Shelton, while Carlos Alcaraz also has a bye but joins Daniil Medvedev and Stefanos Tsitsipas on the other side.

The only other Brit in the draw, Cameron Norrie, will face French wildcard Alexandre Muller, though a victory would see him next up against Alcaraz.

Other notable first-round matches include Tommy Paul taking on Richard Gasquet, Stan Wawrinka against Matteo Arnaldi and Frances Tiafoe vs Alexander Bublik.
