<\/p>\nArsene Wenger has absolutely savaged Manchester United's recent recruitment following their battering at the hands of Manchester City on Sunday.<\/p>\n
The former Arsenal boss noted the chasm between the "'individual quality" of both Manchester teams and suggested that there wasn't a single United player who would get into City's first XI. Speaking on beIN Sports after the game, he said: "For me [the fact that no United players get in City's team] sums it up.<\/p>\n
"Usually in the big games and big derbies we'd say, 'I take three or four or five [from one team] and three or four [from the other]'. Here you see the problem of Man United."<\/p>\n

Erik ten Hag's side were humbled at Old Trafford by their noisy neighbours, who ran out comfortable 3-0 winners. Erling Haaland opened the scoring from the penalty spot mid-way through the first half after United summer signing Rasmus Hojland pulled Rodri down in the box.<\/p>\n
Haaland added a second just after the break, guiding a header past Andre Onana at the back post, while Phil Foden completed the rout on 80 minutes, stabbing home a Haaland cross from close-range. Wenger slammed United's overall performance, insisting they failed to do the little things right all afternoon.<\/p>\n

"Where Man United suffers a lot first of all it's about individual quality of the players" the Frenchman explained. "I felt today they were very poor building up from the back. They gave so many times the ball to the goalkeeper when they had the possibility to play forward.<\/p>\n
"I would say it started there, and then you make the whole team uncertain and lacking in confidence, because they you feel the fear. They don't want the ball. The second part of the problem was the distances between the strikers and the defenders. It was huge.<\/p>\n
