Eden Hazard has admitted that he ‘does not miss playing football’ after hanging up his boots at the start of October.\u00a0<\/p>\n
The Belgian, who was released by Real Madrid earlier this summer, appeared on the red carpet at the 2023 Ballon d’Or on Monday night.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Having also previously admitted that he ‘was no longer having fun on the pitch’ the 32-year-old spoke on life after retirement and admitted that he’d been enjoying time with his family.\u00a0<\/p>\n
When asked by TNT Sportsh how he was enjoying life after football, he said:\u00a0‘It\u2019s perfect. It\u2019s perfect. I\u2019m enjoying life and family in the kids.<\/span><\/p>\n ‘I can do what I want and it\u2019s a perfect life.’<\/span><\/p>\n <\/p>\n Eden Hazard has admitted that he ‘doesn’t miss playing football’ following his retirement<\/p>\n <\/p>\n The former Chelsea star appeared at the 2023 Ballon d’Or red carpet after having announced that he was hanging up his boots earlier this October<\/p>\n <\/p>\n The former Chelsea star was reportedly considering making a move back to the Belgian Pro-League<\/p>\n Hazard, had been left without a club after his contract with Madrid was terminated after he had made just 76 appearances for Los Blancos.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n The former Chelsea star was reportedly considering making a move to the Belgian Pro-League to play alongside his brother at\u00a0RWD Molenbeek.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n But ultimately opted to retire from professional football and today said he was not missing stepping out onto the pitch.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n When asked whether he still watched football, he said: ‘Of course. I have kids. They play football.\u00a0<\/p>\n ‘I watch it on TV when I can. I do other things also but at the moment I don’t miss playing football. Let’s see in a few months.’<\/p>\n <\/p>\n After he was released by Real Madrid in the Summer, he added that he had been enjoying retired life, claiming it was ‘perfect’\u00a0<\/p>\n The Belgian international scored 110 goals in 352 games for Chelsea, with his highest finish at the Ballon d’Or coming in 2015 where he ranked eighth.\u00a0<\/p>\n But speaking after his retirement earlier this October, Hazard explained his decision in more detail.\u00a0<\/p>\n ‘I had always said that I would stop as soon as I didn’t have fun on the pitch anymore. I didn’t want to go and play somewhere for the money,’ he told L’Avenir.\u00a0<\/p>\n ‘It was the best solution. I didn’t enjoy training anymore… And I wasn’t playing anymore. The decision was simple.<\/p>\n ‘In life, you can’t explain everything. I am at peace with myself. I’m happy. I have so many things to do outside of football that I was able to make a serene choice.’<\/p>\n
