<\/p>\nChris Eubank opened up on the difficulty of watching his twin brother Simon battle against frontal lobe dementia.<\/p>\n
It is the first time the boxing legend has opened up about the condition which went on to take his brother\u2019s life in September. Simon had to spend his final years in a care home, where he was regularly visited by Eubank and his family.<\/p>\n
The debilitating condition left him unable to speak or move, resulting in him needing around the clock care. After saying goodbye to Simon last month, Eubank opened up on the struggles he and his family faced during this period.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe had been living locked in his own body for the last two years,\u201d Eubank said in an interview with the Sun. \u201cTo see someone spasming all the time they\u2019re awake for a year and a half is soul-destroying.<\/p>\n
\u201cHe was in a specialist care home. There was a tremendous pressure for his family.<\/p>\n

\u201cI just think of what he would have had to manage, going through that and not being able to move in his own body. My brother always showed me love, he always protected me. Simon saved my life once. He is the one who truly loved me and that is why I recited Corinthians 1:13 at his funeral.\u201d<\/p>\n
Corinthians 1:13 is a passage from the New Testament which covers the subject of love. After a hugely difficult year which also saw his 29-year-old son Sebastian pass away, Eubank is now back involved in boxing.<\/p>\n

He is guiding Simon\u2019s son Harlem, a super-lightweight boxer with an 18-0 record and a bright future. The prospect faces German star Timo Schwarzkopf in what will be his first fight under Eubank\u2019s guidance.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe are going to get to the top quickly because we are already there \u2014 the world just didn\u2019t know it,\u201d Eubank added. \u201cHarlem is 18 fights unbeaten and I cannot see anyone in Europe, the Commonwealth or Britain beating him. There is not a better fighter in the United Kingdom in terms of boxing ability.\u201d<\/p>\n
