The pressure has eased on Erik ten Hag after Man Utd defeated Fulham

Copenhagen manager Jacob Neestrup has taken a swipe at Manchester United’s home support insisting the atmosphere tonight will be “100 times better” than Old Trafford.

The Danish side were unlucky to come away empty-handed from the reverse fixture two weeks ago with Andre Onana saving a last-minute penalty as Erik ten Hag’s men held on to the win.

But Copenhagen boss Neestrup did not hold back ahead of the return match-up insisting United will not know what has hit them when they step out at the Parken tonight.

“What can they expect? I would say with all the respect I felt when I stepped into Old Trafford, then I felt the historical atmosphere,” said Neestrup.

“But you can’t compare Old Trafford with Parken because the intensity is times 100 in terms of what we played in two weeks ago. Then this is a standard that, for me, is way above Premier League, to be honest.”

United turned around a miserable week in which they were beaten by Manchester City and Newcastle with Saturday’s last gasp win over Fulham. But Neestrup, 35, insisted confidence for revenge tonight came from his own side rather than United’s struggles.
