Former Premier League shot-stopper Paddy Kenny has questioned why he's managing for free as he was abused by his own fans.

The 45-year-old was announced as co-manager of Northern Counties East League Premier Division side Goole alongside Nathan Helliwell last month. And after a rocky start to his managerial career, Kenny has slammed his own fans on Twitter.

Goole lost 4-1 to Frickley Town on Tuesday evening, but the discontent started at half-time, when the two sides were level. "I question why I’ve become a manager," Kenny fumed on X, formerly known as Twitter.
