Marcus Rashford’s football agent brother has reportedly been charged with domestic violence.

Dane Rashford, an FA-registered intermediary, has been arrested in the United States and has already made one court appearance. The Telegraph reports that that Dane was arrested on October 20 this year in Miami Beach, Florida.

He initially appeared in court on October 21 and a bond for his release ahead of a pre-trial hearing was set at £1,224, according to police records. The charge was subsequently registered on October 24. The 31-year-old is a director of DN May Sports Management which lists Manchester United star Marcus among its clients.

Dane was pictured in official police arrest photographs and has been issued by the court in Florida with a pre-trial ‘stay away order’.
Marcus is managed by another brother Dwaine Maynard, also an agent, who was named on official documents for the England forward’s last two United contracts.

Court documents state that the bond payment was made by Chantelle Maynard one week after his arrest. Dane, who has been bailed, has pleaded not guilty and will face another hearing on November 27. Dane and Manchester United have declined to comment but The Telegraph adds that the Rashford family believe the matter to be resolved.

Daysi Vega-Mendez, assistant state prosecutor for Miami Dade County, said: “The case is still active, at the moment I haven’t been able to get hold of the victim. Our office is trying to get hold of the UK Embassy because we need permission to speak to the victim.

“I am not sure whether they are still in the United States or if they have left the country. I understand they were on vacation. Technically, once you are charged, you are not supposed to leave the country. When a person is given a bond if they leave, they surrender that bond. At the moment the case is still active and listed for an arraignment hearing on November 27.”
