    Non-league club Nuneaton Borough could be playing their \u2018last ever game\u2019 on Saturday after they have been locked out of their ground.<\/p>\n

    The Southern League Premier Division Central side admitted they are in a \u2018perilous position\u2019 having been locked out of their Liberty Way Stadium after a letter of eviction appeared on the gates from Shergroup enforcement stating the landlord had re-entered the premises \u2018under the terms of your lease and has taken back possession of them\u2019.<\/p>\n

    Nuneaton saw a midweek game at the end of October relocated due to \u2018unforeseen circumstances\u2019. The Boro, who have former Premier League star Leroy Lita on their books, have since lost \u00a360,000 since being locked out of their ground in lost revenue as a result of relocating home games and their Bonfire Night event, claiming that \u2018figures increase every day\u2019.<\/p>\n

    The club issued a statement on their website regarding their Remembrance Day game against Alvechurch on Saturday, announcing they will fulfil the fixture by playing it at the home of Stratford Town \u2013 over 31 miles away from the Liberty Way Stadium.<\/p>\n

    The statement reads: \u201cBoro have agreed to play our game against Alvechurch on Saturday at Stratford Town FC. Kick-off is at 3pm.<\/p>\n

    \u201cWe would like to place on record our huge thanks to Stratford Town owner Jed McCrory for letting us use the pitch free of charge – a magnificent gesture in our hour of need.<\/p>\n

    \u201cWe would also like to thank Alvechurch and the Southern League for their co-operation. We hope as many of the Boro faithful as possible can make the trip and get behind the boys.<\/p>\n

    \u201cWe are working extremely hard to rectify the current situation but this may sadly be the last time that Boro play. Thank you for your unbelievable support.\u201d<\/p>\n

    Nuneaton previously went into liquidation in 2008 and were reformed as Nuneaton Town FC, being demoted from the Conference North (now National League North) to the Southern League Division One. The club changed its name in 2018 back to Borough.<\/p>\n

    The Boro have reached the FA Cup third round on three previous occasions, most recently facing then-Premier League Middlesbrough in the 2005\/06 season. Between 2012 and 2015 the club played in the Conference Premier (now the National League). <\/p>\n
