    English football stopped to remember fallen soldiers on Saturday afternoon, as players paused for Armistice Day.<\/p>\n

    And as minutes silence’s were impeccably observed up and down the country, some fans couldn’t help but notice the club mascots stood, respectfully, alongside their team-mates. From giant rabbits to crocodiles – and even Gunnersaurus bowing down his head from afar – mascots took part in the silence.<\/p>\n

    One account on X, formerly known as Twitter, joked: “It\u2019s the biggest weekend in the football calendar. Keep your eyes peeled.” The hilarity of the mascots joining in on the silences has taken social media by storm – with fans flocking to platforms to share the snaps.<\/p>\n

    Daily Star Sport<\/i><\/b> has a look at some mascots sticking out like a sore thumb from the Premier League to League Two, there was no shortage of mascots bowing their heads.<\/p>\n

      Peter Burrow and Posh<\/h3>\n

      Peterborough Town mascot, incredibly named Peter Burrow, dropped his trusty carrot to observe the minute’s silence. He was joined by Princebuild mascot Peebey for their 5-0 win over Cambridge United on Saturday afternoon.<\/p>\n
