Lewis Hamilton previews Las Vegas Grand Prix

Sky Sports presenter Ted Kravitz was jokingly warned by Damon Hill that he would end up ‘in big trouble’ following an interaction in the paddock during the early hours of Saturday morning. Whilst trying to review the qualifying at the Las Vegas Grand Prix, the pundit’s commentary was interrupted by two female fans revelling in the excitement of the weekend.

Formula One has taken over Las Vegas over the past few weeks, with the track heading through the city centre and on the iconic strip. The sport has received a mixed reaction from locals, with some unhappy with the disruption and others enthralled by the action in Nevada.

Among those who were pleased for motorsport to hit the streets of Las Vegas were two female fans that were enjoying their time in the paddock in the early hours of Saturday morning, following an exciting qualifying session.

Similarly, Sky Sports’ Kravitz was still presenting from the track and happened to bump into the over-excited duo. He asked the pair: “Are you having a good time? Has it been a good event?” and was left stunned by the response he received.

One of the exhilarated girls enthusiastically replied: “It’s sick, I love it when they rip it super-fast. Oh yes, sexy, woo!”

Kravitz quickly evacuated the scene, appearing to be somewhat taken back by the interaction. He hilariously muttered: “Well, never called motor racing sexy before but there you go,” before calling over former F1 star Hill for a helping hand in ensuring his show could get back on track.

However, Hill joked: “You are very, very close to getting in big trouble!” It would not be the first time that Kravitz found himself at the heart of drama this weekend, as the presenter’s interaction with Red Bull team principal Christian Horner forced Sky Sports to apologise.

Kravitz spoke of how Horner had recently enjoyed his 50th birthday on Thursday, saying: “I think he’s wearing his natty new glasses on the pit wall… and who can blame him? Who, approaching 50 years old, would wear their glasses in the pit lane, wanting to pretend that they actually don’t need them? Who would do that?”

Horner caught wind of the comments though and TV cameras spotted him raising his middle finger to the presenter, leaving Sky’s David Croft with no choice but to apologise for the ‘hand signal’ made in jest at his colleague.
