Real Madrid have reportedly approached Brighton boss Roberto De Zerbi over replacing Carlo Ancelotti as their new manager.<\/p>\n
Ancelotti has been heavily linked to become the new manager of the Brazilian international team at the end of the season, with the president of the country’s football association previously insisting they have a deal to bring him on for next summer’s Copa America.<\/p>\n
The Italian has yet to confirm his plans, though Real Madrid have reportedly been looking at potential replacements\u00a0<\/p>\n
Spanish publication SPORT have now reported that Los Blancos have contacted De Zerbi over potentially replacing his Italian compatriot.\u00a0<\/p>\n
It’s claimed that Real Madrid president Florentino Perez believes the 44-year-old is ‘prepared to make the big leap in his career’ and above all values the Brighton manager for his work with young players.<\/p>\n

Real Madrid have an impressive young squad with Jude Bellingham, Vinicius Jnr, Rodrygo, Eduardo Camavinga and Aurelien Tchouameni all 23-years-old or younger.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Next summer will also see the arrival of 17-year-old Endrick from Palmeiras after signing the Brazilian wonderkid for \u00a351m back in December.\u00a0<\/p>\n
They could be joined by Kylian Mbappe, with Los Blancos heavily linked with a move for the 24-year-old Paris Saint-Germain forward next summer.\u00a0<\/p>\n
De Zerbi has made a big impact at Brighton since replacing Graham Potter in September 2022.<\/p>\n
A whole array of young players have impressed at Brighton under De Zerbi, including Evan Ferguson, Julio Enciso and Moises Caicedo – who left for a British record \u00a3115m deal in the summer.<\/p>\n
He guided them to Europe for the first time in the club’s history, after finishing sixth in the Premier League last season.<\/p>\n
They currently sit eighth in the standings this term, though they have failed to win any of their last six games in the league.<\/p>\n

De Zerbi has been attracting praise for his work with the Seagulls, with Man City boss Pep Guardiola hailing him as ‘one of the most influential managers in the last 20 years’.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Other names have been linked with the position in recent months, including their former player Xabi Alonso who is unbeaten with Bayer Leverkusen in the Bundesliga this season.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n
