Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has been mocked by fans for his pronunciation of Liverpool stars Dominik Szoboszlai and Ryan Gravenberch’s names.<\/p>\n
Guardiola was outlining the key threats posed by Liverpool ahead of Saturday’s eagerly-anticipated clash at the Etihad Stadium.<\/p>\n
During his pre-match press conference, Guardiola said: ‘Salah of course, but now with\u00a0Szoboszlai and Gravenberch.’<\/p>\n
The way in which Guardiola pronounced\u00a0Szoboszlai and Gravenberch certainly attracted a lot of attention.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Szoboszlai himself responded on Instagram with four laughing emojis after discovering that Guardiola referred to him as ‘Szvolazi’.\u00a0<\/p>\n

One user wrote: ‘Bro said “Szbolasie” and “Gravener”‘.<\/p>\n
Another added: ‘Szoboszlai is gonna make sure he remembers his name tomorrow’.<\/p>\n
In addition, another wrote: ‘He’s obviously talking about Sovlazie and governor. Come on man…don’t you know our own players?’.<\/p>\n
Another user stated that it sounded like Guardiola said ‘Bolasie’ rather than\u00a0Szoboszlai, in reference to former Crystal Palace winger Yannick Bolasie, writing: ‘Swear he said Bolasie’.<\/p>\n
Szoboszlai and Gravenberch both signed for Liverpool last summer from the Bundesliga, joining from RB Leipzig and Bayern Munich respectively.<\/p>\n
So far\u00a0Szoboszlai has made 17 appearances for Liverpool and has scored two goals, while he has provided two assists.<\/p>\n
Gravenberch, meanwhile, also has two goals and two assists, having played 12 games.\u00a0<\/p>\n
City are top of the Premier League going into Saturday’s game and are one point ahead of Liverpool.<\/p>\n
