Australia’s World Cup hangover continued with a 44-run loss to India in their second Twenty20 match on Sunday (Monday morning AEDT) after a ragged bowling display allowed the home side to plunder a mammoth 4-235 at Thiruvananthapuram.

Ruturaj Gaikwad (58), Yashasvi Jaiswal (53), Ishan Khan (52) and Rinku Singh (31no off nine balls) capitalised on the tourists’ waywardness with the ball.

In reply, Australia could only reach 9-191 at the end of their 20 overs.
