<\/p>\nManchester City and Chelsea could be slapped with a "nuclear" 30-point deduction, or even face relegation, according to a football finance expert.<\/p>\n
City currently face 115 charges of financial breaches dating back to 2009, all of which they deny, while Chelsea are under investigation for a number of suspicious payments made under Roman Abramovich\u2019s tenure. And their investigations come after Everton's 10-point deduction. <\/p>\n
Football finance expert Kieran Maguire told Football Insider that while there is the option of the "nuclear" punishment it's not the most probable outcome. He said: "Relegation is a possible punishment.<\/p>\n

\u201cIf you take a look at the Premier League handbook, there are unlimited punishments that they can hand out, including expulsion from the Premier League. So that is very much the nuclear option. <\/p>\n
