{"id":295818,"date":"2023-12-03T08:44:51","date_gmt":"2023-12-03T08:44:51","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/sportsloveme.com\/?p=295818"},"modified":"2023-12-03T08:44:51","modified_gmt":"2023-12-03T08:44:51","slug":"germany-win-under-17-world-cup-after-beating-france-on-penalties","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sportsloveme.com\/soccer\/germany-win-under-17-world-cup-after-beating-france-on-penalties\/","title":{"rendered":"Germany win Under 17 World Cup after beating France on penalties"},"content":{"rendered":"<h1> Germany win Under 17 World Cup after beating France on penalties in the final following a pulsating 2-2 draw &#8211; as they lift the title for the first time<\/h1>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Germany have won the Under 17 World Cup after beating France on penalties<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>It is the first time Germany have won the tournament in what is its 19th edition<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Manchester United in a mess &#8211; they have a collapse in them &#8211; It&#8217;s All Kicking Off\u00a0<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Germany have won the Under 17 World Cup after beating France on penalties in dramatic fashion.<\/p>\n<p>The two teams &#8211; who had won every game so far in the tournament &#8211; played out a pulsating clash at the Manahan Stadium in\u00a0Surakarta, Indonesia.<\/p>\n<p>Germany raced into a 2-0 lead in the final thanks to goals from Borussia Dortmund starlet Paris Brunner and Barcelona&#8217;s\u00a0Noah Darvich.<\/p>\n<p>However, Les Bleus pulled a goal back through Saimon Bouabre before\u00a0Mathis Amougou levelled five minutes from the end of normal time.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The clash went straight to penalties &#8211; as per tournament rules &#8211; and both teams traded blows in the shootout.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i.dailymail.co.uk\/1s\/2023\/12\/02\/16\/78503961-12817783-image-a-35_1701534714339.jpg\" height=\"424\" width=\"634\"><\/p>\n<p>Germany have won the Under 17 World Cup after beating France on penalties in a pulsating tie<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i.dailymail.co.uk\/1s\/2023\/12\/02\/16\/78503963-12817783-image-m-37_1701534726528.jpg\" height=\"423\" width=\"634\"><\/p>\n<p>The game ended 2-2 after normal time, before Germany won 4-3 in sudden death on penalties<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i.dailymail.co.uk\/1s\/2023\/12\/02\/16\/78503533-12817783-image-a-9_1701534203534.jpg\" height=\"423\" width=\"634\"><\/p>\n<p>It is the first time Germany have ever won the tournament (pictured &#8211; boss Christian Wuck)<\/p>\n<p>Your browser does not support iframes.<\/p>\n<p>France went 2-1 up before Germany came back to lead 3-2. Brunner had the chance to win the World Cup for Christian Wuck&#8217;s side but he missed his spot kick and Joan Tincres kept the tie alive.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Almugera Kabar gave Germany the advantage on sudden death, before Caen star\u00a0Tidiam Gomis was the unfortunate player to miss for France as they lost 4-3 on penalties.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>It is the first time Germany have ever won the Under 17 World Cup, in what is the tournament&#8217;s 19th edition.<\/p>\n<p>France had won it once before in 2001 with a team that included the likes of former Liverpool stars\u00a0Florent Sinama Pongolle and Anthony Le Tallec.<\/p>\n<p>After winning all three group games, Jean-Luc Vannuchi&#8217;s outfit swept aside Senegal, Uzebekistan and Mali on the way to the final.
