Listen to It&#8217;s All Kicking Off\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Roy Keane hilariously ate a prawn sandwich in a TikTok video, with the former Manchester United hardman notoriously coining the &#8216;prawn sandwich brigade&#8217; phrase during his playing career.<\/p>\n<p>Keane, 52, is regularly seen lambasting United and other teams on Sky Sports, but the Irishman was a tough-tackling midfielder for the Red Devils, while he also represented Nottingham Forest, Celtic and Cobh Ramblers.<\/p>\n<p>He spent 12 years at Old Trafford, making 480 appearances but famously fell out with Sir Alex Ferguson which culminated in his departure.<\/p>\n<p>However, following a narrow 1-0 victory over Dynamo Kiev in the Champions League in November 2000, Keane slated United fans which led to the &#8216;prawn sandwich brigade&#8217; saying being born.<\/p>\n<p>He had said: &#8216;Away from home our fans are fantastic, I&#8217;d call them the hardcore fans.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i.dailymail.co.uk\/1s\/2023\/12\/07\/17\/78701235-12838387-Roy_Keane_enjoyed_a_prawn_sandwich_when_he_went_out_for_lunch_wi-a-19_1701968692184.jpg\" height=\"771\" width=\"634\"><\/p>\n<p>Roy Keane enjoyed a prawn sandwich when he went out for lunch with fellow pundit Ian Wright<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i.dailymail.co.uk\/1s\/2023\/12\/07\/17\/78701115-12838387-Keane_coined_the_infamous_prawn_sandwich_brigade_phrase_with_a_r-a-20_1701968698170.jpg\" height=\"323\" width=\"634\"><\/p>\n<p>Keane coined the infamous &#8216;prawn sandwich brigade&#8217; phrase with a rant at Man United fans<\/p>\n<p>steak &amp; ale pie, prawn sandwich, syrup sponge &amp; custard and a Manchester tart \ud83d\ude0b\ud83e\udd24\ud83d\ude0e Thank you<\/p>\n<p>&#8216;But at home they have a few drinks and probably the prawn sandwiches, and they don&#8217;t realise what&#8217;s going on out on the pitch.&#8217;<\/p>\n<p>It is effectively a derogatory term for those fans who are at matches to enjoy hospitality and corporate opportunities rather than coming to enjoy the football or support a team.<\/p>\n<p>And in the aforementioned TikTok video &#8211; which was shared by Ian Wright &#8211; the pair could be seen enjoying lunch out together.<\/p>\n<p>While Wright ate a steak &amp; ale pie, Keane tucked into a prawn sandwich, before enjoying a Manchester tart for dessert.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The pundit jokingly said to a waiter: &#8216;There&#8217;s no calories in this is there?&#8217;, while Wright tucked into a syrup sponge with custard in the background.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Keane looked admiringly in the direction of Wright&#8217;s dessert before he added: &#8216;That looks nice that.
