FIA President Mohammed Ben Sulayem required medical care after suffering a fall ‘several days ago’ but is making progress to a full recovery, according to reports.<\/p>\n
The Formula One chief was in attendance for a recent prize giving in Baku, but was injured after taking a fall and required hospital attention.<\/p>\n
Ben Sulayem received care for a concussion afterwards and is expected to be ok after an update was provided on his condition, as reported by The Sun.<\/p>\n
‘Several days ago the President took (sic) ill and suffered a fall and concussion,’ stated an FIA spokesperson.<\/p>\n
‘He received care in hospital and will make a full recovery.’<\/p>\n

The 62-year-old was appointed to run Formula One’s governing body in December last-year but announced he was taking a step-back from day-to-day control in February.<\/p>\n
However, the Dubai-born boss has recently been involved in the inquiry into Mercedes boss Toto Wolff and his wife Susie over an alleged conflict of interest.<\/p>\n
Susie Wolff is head of F1 Academy, the all-female series run and owned by the sport’s owners, Liberty Media, while Toto is in charge of the Mercedes team.<\/p>\n

Sulayem was involved in the FIA investigation into Mercedes boss Toto Wolff and his wife Susie that has been dropped<\/p>\n
Toto was cleared on Thursday to carry on as Mercedes team principal after the FIA abandoned their inquiry into the pair.<\/p>\n
Announcing their decision, they said: ‘Following a review of Formula One Management’s code of conduct and conflict of interest policy, and confirmation that appropriate protective measures are in place to mitigate any potential conflicts, the FIA is satisfied that FOM’s compliance management system is robust enough to prevent any unauthorised disclosure of confidential information.\u00a0<\/p>\n
