  Legia Warsaw\u00a0fans have been banned from attending their club\u2019s next five European away games following the violent scenes that marred last month\u2019s Europa Conference League clash with Aston Villa.<\/span><\/p>\n

  The Polish club were also fined \u00a3100,000 (\u00a386,000) and ordered to pay for the damage done to Villa Park during the incidents that took place before and during the tie on November 30.<\/p>\n

  A UEFA statement said: \u2018UEFA\u2019s disciplinary committee has decided to fine Legia Warsaw \u20ac100,000 and to ban Legia Warsaw from selling tickets to its away supporters for its next five UEFA competition matches, for crowd disturbances, acts of damage, throwing of objects and lighting of fireworks.<\/p>\n

  \u2018The committee has also decided to order Legia Warszawa to contact Aston Villa FC within 30 days for the settlement of the damages caused by its supporters, i.e. for the broken high fences and the broken lighting pole.\u2019<\/p>\n

  West Midlands Police said four officers were injured and, although the game started on time, no Legia fans were allowed in ahead of kick-off.<\/p>\n

  As well as the violent clashes, Villa stewards also removed several people believed to be away supporters from the home stands while footage on social media appeared to show objects being thrown into the stadium from outside.<\/p>\n

  Villa made an official complaint to UEFA regarding the behaviour of the Legia supporters after the 2-1 win.<\/p>\n
