Julian Nagelsmann has left the door open for Toni Kroos to perform a U-turn and return to international football in time for Germany’s home Euro 2024 campaign.<\/p>\n
Real Madrid star Kroos elected to walk away from Germany following a below-par Euro 2020.<\/p>\n
He wanted to focus on his family, as well as try and prolong his club career with Real Madrid.\u00a0<\/p>\n
But Kroos, who himself has remained tight-lipped on the prospect of playing for Germany again, is now in the sights of boss Nagelsmann, who has revealed he has spoken to the midfielder.\u00a0<\/p>\n
‘Interesting thought,’ Nagelsmann told ZDF’s SportStudio when asked about the prospect of Kroos returning to the fold.<\/p>\n

‘My job is to think about all German players. Toni is a great person who says his opinion clearly – and a very successful footballer. You can talk to him about everything.’<\/p>\n
Pressed on whether the pair spoke about Kroos completing a Germany U-turn during a recent conversation, Nagelsmann added:\u00a0\u00a0‘No, not concretely. We spoke about general topics.’<\/span><\/p>\n Nagelsmann continued:\u00a0‘I think playing a Euros at home is an attractive prospect for all German players.
