Stephen Curry’s incredible three-pointer streak came to an end on Sunday night, with the Warriors star failing to register one for the first time in five years.<\/p>\n
As Golden State picked up a\u00a0118-114 victory over the Portland Trail Blazers, Curry’s run was ended at an astonishing 268 games, stretching all the way back to November 2018.<\/p>\n
The 35-year-old endured a frustrating night on the whole, finishing zero for eight from three-point range and two for 12 overall while scoring seven points.<\/p>\n
Curry last went without one in a regular-season game at Detroit on November 8, 2018, when he was zero for four against Milwaukee. He also owns the second-longest NBA streak at 157 games.<\/p>\n
‘We can’t rely on Steph to bail us out on every single night,’ said Warriors coach Steve Kerr.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The Warriors star failed to register one for the first time in five years and 268 games as they beat the Trail Blazers<\/p>\n
‘It was a tough night for him, but that’s what a team is supposed to be about. Everybody filling in for each other, different guys stepping up each night.\u00a0<\/p>\n
‘That’s a great sign, because he’s carried us for long enough this year. We need to give him more help.’<\/p>\n
The two-time MVP missed all nine 3-point attempts in Game 5 of the 2022 NBA Finals against Boston, one game before the Warriors won the title. Curry had made one in his previous 132 postseason games, another NBA record.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Andrew Wiggins, who was recently taken out of the Golden State’s starting lineup, had 25 points and seven rebounds. Klay Thompson was also on hand with 28 points.<\/p>\n
Rookie Trayce Jackson-Davis had 14 points and eight rebounds to help the Warriors win consecutive games for the first time since the end of a five-game winning streak in early November.\u00a0<\/p>\n
