Arsenal fans are convinced a Champions League triumph is written in the stars after spotting a pattern in Kai Havertz's career.

Havertz, 24, scored his third goal in five Premier League matches to help Mikel Arteta's side secure a 2-0 home victory over Brighton and Hove Albion. After a difficult start to life at the Emirates Stadium following his £65million arrival from Chelsea, he looks to be up to speed in North London.

However, after the Gunners were drawn against Porto in the last-16 stages of the Champions League, one Arsenal fan spotted a trend involving Havertz and the Portuguese giants. After many more fans came across the thread which was put out on X, some Arsenal fans think a first European Cup triumph may be on the cards.

One fan noticed that Havertz played against Porto for Chelsea and then went on to win the competition in 2021. The fan also noticed in the same season, Havertz was knocked out of the Carabao Cup in the 4th round by a London club (Tottenham Hotspur) – this year, Arsenal were knocked out at the same stage by West Ham United, another London club.

The season Havertz lifted the big-eared European trophy also saw Arsenal win the Community Shield – just like Arsenal did this summer. Tottenham were also top of the Premier League for the first 10 matches in the 2020-21 campaign, just as Ange Postecoglou's side were this year.
