Ebanie Bridges is hunting for a new opponent after Avril Mathie pulled out of their fight through injury.

The Blonde Bomber, 37, is set to return to the ring for the first time in a year on December 9. It was announced last month she'd be facing her fellow Aussie on the undercard of Regis Prograis vs Devin Haney in San Francisco.

But her comeback bout, having spent most of 2023 sidelined with a hand injury, is now in doubt, Daily Star Sport understands, with Mathie withdrawing. Bridges had billed their clash as the 'battle of the boobs' with both women liking to strip down to their skimpies.

She now faces a battle to find a replacement to defend her IBF bantamweight title against in time for fight night, and is believed to be gutted that her swimwear model friend can't compete after she was injured in training.

Her legion of fans will no doubt be sharing those sentiments given how much Bridges had hyped up the contest, which she joked she'd already won as her "boobs are better".

Who would you suggest as a replacement to face Bridges? Let us know in the comments section.

"The weigh-in will break the internet," Bridges predicted. "It will also get a lot of viewers outside of boxing because people will be interested to see if these two 'OnlyFans models' can box."

She's only been able to defend her IBF belt once since claiming it from Maria Cecilia Roman in March 2022. That was an eighth-round TKO victory against Shannon O'Connell last December.

Bridges had broke her right hand in the lead up to that bout, pushing on through the pain at the First Direct Arena in Leeds before getting surgery soon after.

She's continued to build a social media following in the time since but hasn't been able to get back to doing what she loves until now, but that could be in jeopardy with Bridges already Stateside.
