Arsenal join race for Chelsea target Osimhen as Tottenham given Sancho boost
Seven Man Utd transfers Sir Jim Ratcliffe wants answers for as trio set for January exits
The weekend of Premier League action only highlighted further why the majority of clubs will be in the market for new signings in January. Despite Arsenal, Manchester United and Liverpool all picking up valuable points, the trio are expected to be at the heart of the action and will be counting down the days until the window opens.
Several clubs are in the market for a top-quality striker in January, with Mauricio Pochettino continuing to push to the higher powers at Chelsea that he needs reinforcements in the final third. Napoli’s Victor Osimhen is among the top targets at Stamford Bridge, though the Blues aren’t alone in their interest.
Arsenal are the latest side to be linked with the Nigerian international, having been warned that pursuing Brentford star Ivan Toney will reportedly set them back approximately £100million. It is unclear whether Osimhen would entertain the prospect of a switch to the Emirates Stadium, or if Arsenal will even table an offer in fear of being trumped by Chelsea.
Elsewhere, United, Liverpool and Tottenham are keen to focus on their backlines in January and bring in at least one centre-back each. The trio of clubs are likely to have a similar shortlist of targets, with Sporting star Goncalo Inacio linked with each of the outfits.
