Bayern Munich will NOT sanction Moroccan defender Noussair Mazraoui following a ‘detailed and clarifying conversation’ after the right-back expressed support for Palestine on social media

German club Bayern Munich have decided not to sanction Moroccan right-back Noussair Mazraoui after he shared pro-Palestine posts on social media.
The club released a statement on Friday stating that they had ‘a detailed and clarifying conversation with Noussair Mazroui this week’.
After speaking with the player, the German club say that Mazraoui ‘rejects terror and war’.
‘Noussair Mazraoui has credibly assured us that as a peace-loving person he resolutely rejects terror and war and he never meant to cause any irritation with his posts’, said Jan-Christian Dreesen, CEO of FC Bayern.

The player says he is a ‘peace-loving person’ and ‘rejects all terror and war’
‘I condemn all terrorism and terrorist organisations.’ said the Moroccan international.
The club said the player ‘never meant to cause any irritation’ from the post he shared on his social media. They went on to state that ‘football should unleash its power of reconciliation between different cultures, especially in the most difficult moments.
The German title-holders said that Mazraoui is currently out with an injury he sustained during the international break.
He has made seven out of ten starts for the club this season, having joined from Ajax on a free transfer in 2022.
