Celtic ended a dismal Champions League campaign on a high as they beat Feyenoord 2-1 at Celtic Park on Wednesday evening.

The hosts drew first blood in the first-half, via a penalty from Luis Palma after Ramiz Zerrouki picked up a yellow card for tugging down Liam Scales.

The opener came just minutes after the hosts suffered an early injury blow in the form of Tomoki Iwata’s exit after just 19 minutes.

After growing from strength to strength in the second-half, Feyenoord gained a deserved equaliser thanks to the immediate impact of substitute Yakub Minteh, capitalising on some hapless Celtic defending.

But the hosts’ own substitute, Gustaf Lagerbielke, came to the rescue one minute into added time to ensure Brendan Rodgers’ bottom-placed side left the competition with their heads held high.
