Erik ten Hag dragging Man Utd flops into one-on-one meetings to air out anger
Manchester United's horror start to the season has forced Erik ten Hag to conduct one-to-one sessions with his players in order to get their season back on track.
The Dutchman has struggled to build on the success of his first season at Old Trafford with his side sitting eighth in the Premier League following five defeats in 10 games. A 3-0 defeat at home to Newcastle on Wednesday (November 1) saw United get bounced out of the Carabao Cup, lessening their chances of achieving silverware this season.
The loss had led Ten Hag to order his players to take part in one-to-one sessions, according to The Sun, that he hopes will bring forth a new start for the side as they enter a period of hugely important fixtures. The 53-year-old wants to know if any issues exist between his players and himself, his staff, their own team-mates and training.

Scott McTominay – who is Man United's top scorer in the league with three goals – publicly backed Ten Hag as he admitted he feels for the club's fans who've had to watch the continual struggle of the team this season.
"My thoughts are with the fans because we’re not playing well and it’s difficult for them," the 26-year-old said. They pay their hard-earned money every week to watch us and the least we can do is play well and win matches. We have to stay tight and keep a clear head. We can’t get too emotional. We have to block it all out. Everyone has to come together and we have to fight like dogs."

The midfielder remained hopeful that he and his team-mates can turn their dismal form around. "The fans want to see results and performances and to see the players smiling and happy, he added. "It’s not happening at the moment, but I’m 100 per cent sure the manager can put that into practice and it can come off."
The pressure is piling on Ten Hag as his next three games in all competitions against Fulham, Copenhagen and Luton Town could define his future at Old Trafford.
