Fernandes helps ‘shaken’ Marcus Rashford after Man Utd star crashed Rolls Royce
Crash outside Manchester United's Carrington training ground
Bruno Fernandes was on the scene to assist Marcus Rashford and another driver after the Manchester United star was involved in a car crash on Saturday night, according to reports. Fernandes spotted the collision on his way home from United’s Carrington training base and stopped to check on those involved.
Rashford and his Red Devils teammates had returned to Carrington to collect their cars after sealing a crucial 1-0 win against Burnley at Turf Moor.
But on his way home, the 25-year-old crashed his £700,000 white Rolls-Royce into a traffic island in a collision with a female motorist.
A club spokesperson said: “Marcus is fine and was not injured. It was an accidental collision as he left the training ground after returning from Burnley.
“It was an incident involving his car and one driven by a member of the public. Thankfully, both were uninjured, and no ambulance was required.”
Rashford and the other driver escaped unscathed, but the United No 10 was described as ‘shaken’ by the incident.
As police officers arrived at the scene, eyewitnesses claim Fernandes was also present after spotting the scene and his teammate.

Rashford and the other driver were breathalysed as a matter of routine, but no arrests were made, and both were sent on their way shortly after.
Fernandes made sure to check the United No 10 was okay before continuing his journey home after an otherwise positive evening in Lancashire.
A source told the Mirror: “Modern vehicles are incredibly robust, and that helped to protect Marcus. He got out of the car unassisted, and his first thought was for the woman motorist to make sure that she was not hurt.
“Bruno stopped because he saw his teammate and obviously he was worried about him and the woman driver. So he made sure they were both fine and able to leave the scene without any problems.”
Fernandes and Rashford are expected to be in contention when United host Crystal Palace in the Carabao Cup on Tuesday.

The United captain was the hero at Turf Moor, netting a stunning winner to half a run of three consecutive defeats.
Erik ten Hag’s side were coming off the back of losses against Arsenal, Brighton and Hove Albion and Bayern Munich.
But the three points eased the pressure, and Ten Hag will hope his side can kick on during a favourable run of fixtures before the October international break.
