‘I played under Fergie – Sancho wouldn’t see light of day in our Man Utd team’
Ben Foster has hit out at Jadon Sancho’s tweet following Erik ten Hag’s criticism of his attitude.
Sancho wasn’t in the Manchester United squad that lost 3-1 away at Arsenal on Sunday (September 3), after Ten Hag claimed that the 23-year-old was not selected due to his poor performances in training.
Ten Hag said after the Arsenal defeat: “Jadon, on his performances in training we did not select him.
"You have to reach a level every day at Manchester United and we can make choices in the front line. So for this game, he was not selected."

Following the comments, Sancho later hit back at his manager’s claims on social media in a public attempt to undermine his manager.
He wrote: "Please don't believe everything you read!
What do you think will happen to Jadon Sancho? Let us know in the comments section.
"I will not allow people saying things that is completely untrue. I have conducted myself in training very well this week.
"I believe there are other reasons for this matter that I won't go into, I've been a scapegoat for a long time which isn't fair!"
Former United goalkeeper Foster, who played for the club between 2005 and 2010 under Ferguson, hit out at Sancho’s behaviour, claiming no player would’ve gotten away with responding to Ferguson in the same vein.
Speaking on The United Stand, Foster said: “It’s crazy mate, it’s absolutely crazy. If Alex Ferguson is managing in this moment in time at Manchester United, and Jadon Sancho does this, he will never see the light of day again for Man United.
“He’ll never play for this club, he’ll never be allowed in the training ground, you are done, mate.”
Foster added: “I understand when players say ‘yeah I’d do the same thing,’ that’s fantastic, you are allowed to do that if you really want to. But it’s not going to help you.
“It’s petulant, it’s reactive, it’s emotional, it’s disrespectful, it just becomes a massive storm of news so now everybody wants to know what is up with Jadon Sancho, what is it with Ten Hag, has Ten Hag lost the dressing room?
“Jadon Sancho says it’s nothing to do with his training and he says he’s applied himself very well in training, that’s fantastic – you should be applying yourself every week, that’s the minimum.”
