Borussia Dortmund are willing to hand Jadon Sancho a way out of Manchester United in January if his troubles at the club continue, according to reports.

United and Sancho are at loggerheads after the player publicly criticised manager Erik ten Hag in a damning social media post after defeat against Arsenal.

Ten Hag explained he dropped Sancho from the squad because he hadn’t reached the required performance levels in training, the winger defiantly responded by stating he was being made a ‘scapegoat’.

His Old Trafford future is in serious doubt and former club Borussia Dortmund are keen to re-sign the star if United are willing to listen to offers, as reported by the Sun.

The 23-year-old swapped Germany for England in a £73million deal two years ago but has endured a largely underwhelming career at Old Trafford.

Frustrations have grown amid Sancho’s struggles to reach the same level of performances that he did at Dortmund and has also been dropped by England as a result.

Dortmund wanted to bring Sancho back to the club in January but saw their loan offer swiftly rejected by United, but they will return again if talks with Ten Hag fail to rectify the ongoing feud.

Club chiefs are monitoring the situation and would be willing to make a loan offer to United that would require them to still pay a large chunk of his wages.

He scored 50 goals in 137 appearances for the Bundesliga giants during four years in Germany, so far he has only managed 12 goals in 82 outings for United.

An ongoing period of reconciliation is taking place with talks planned before United’s first game back after the international break against Brighton.

However, Man United stars have also become ‘fed up’ with their team-mate and sided with Ten Hag after Sancho’s stand of defiance that has been heavily criticised by many.

There has been long-standing concerns over Sancho’s time-keeping and attitude with his demeanour at Man United also previously being raised in the England set-up.

Sancho’s social media post remains pinned to the top of his X profile and United stars have been unimpressed with the way the youngster has handled the situation.
