Jadon Sancho cuts lonely figure as first images since Man Utd exile emerge
Jadon Sancho has been spotted watching Manchester United’s U18 side in action on Saturday while he continues to be exiled from Erik ten Hag’s squad. The 23-year-old responded angrily to Ten Hag accusing him of lacking effort in training following the defeat at Arsenal before the international break.
Sancho hit out at the United boss on social media with questions immediately being asked on his future at the club. The Red Devils announced this week that disciplinary action had been taken against Sancho with the winger ordered to train away from the first team.
A statement read: “Jadon Sancho will remain on a personal training programme away from the first-team group, pending resolution of a squad discipline issue.” While Ten Hag’s squad got ready for a tricky match against Brighton, Sancho remained at Carrington to take in some academy action.
The winger was seen cutting an isolated figure on the sidelines as he watched United’s under-18 side face off against Nottingham Forest.
And he caught an eventufl match as young Ashton Missin was sent off after picking up two yellow cards inside the first half.
Forest took advantage of the extra man as Conor Brown scored from the spot to give the visitors a 1-0 lead.
But the 10-men of United managed to get back into the match with an equaliser from centre-back Jack Kingdon.

Ten Hag also raised further doubts on Sancho returning to the fold at United this season, admitting he wasn’t sure whether he’d ever pick the England ace again. Tomorrow we have a big game [at home to Brighton], we are going into a new block of games, many games in a condensed programme. I focus on that.
“He is not available, so in this moment, he is not important, because he can’t contribute.” But Ten Hag insists he’s moved on from the controversial social media post from Sancho.
He added: “I don’t think about that and I don’t talk about that, because I have to win a game. It is all about that. The players who are there and available deserve me. I have to guide them, I have to prepare them, it is about that. I only focus on the players who are available.”
