Jude Bellingham still eats one quintessentially British meal before Real matches

Jude Bellingham has quickly shot into superstardom in Madrid, but the 20-year-old still has his feet firmly planted in the UK.

Ahead of games, the Real Madrid star indulges in some baked beans and eggs, which is described as one of his 'favourite dishes'. According to The Athletic, Bellingham is very attentive to his diet and he eats a careful diet prepared for him by a private chef.

Bellingham, however, also enjoys some time to eat out with his team-mates – and he he had a meal with fellow new arrivals Brahim Diaz and Arda Guler in the summer.

The Englishman is keen to become a well-rounded individual as well as a footballer, and a source told The Athletic: "It’s impressive how much he has invested in himself to become a 360-degree footballer.

“Beyond what he does on the pitch, there’s his communication skills with the media, his competitiveness, his leadership, the psychological side of his game, the visualisation process he does before each match.

“It’s not just about ability. He has worked hard, with the help of his family too, to become what he is becoming now.”

Bellingham has notched eight goals in eight games for Madrid and also chipped in with two assists. His scoring form has carried over to Europe – bagging twice in the Champions League.

The 20-year-old also earned plaudits on international duty, when he played a big role in Marcus Rashford's strike against Italy. Gareth Southgate's side won the match 3-1 to book their place at Euro 2024.
