Man Utd star Jadon Sancho deletes Instagram account as Ten Hag stand-off goes on
Jadon Sancho to train away from Man Utd squad until ‘discipline issue’ resolved
Manchester United star Jadon Sancho has deleted his Instagram account as his ongoing feud with head coach Erik ten Hag shows no signs of ending. The Red Devils attacker has been dropped from the first-team after a public war of words with the Dutchman over his apparent lack of effort in training, with Sancho refusing to apologise to his manager, which would almost certainly bring an end his exile from the club.
The 23-year-old has not featured for the Red Devils since coming off the bench in their 3-2 win over Nottingham Forest at Old Trafford on August 26. Sancho was left out of the squad for their 3-1 defeat to Arsenal, after which Ten Hag confirmed he had been omitted from the squad due to his perceived lack of effort in training.
Sancho uploaded a post onto his Instagram account with an extraordinary rebuke of Ten Hag’s comments about him, telling fans not to believe everything they hear and claiming to be fed up at being made a ‘scapegoat’.
And that has led the 53-year-old to banish Sancho from the first-team for the foreseeable future, with the winger spotted training on his own using the youth facilities.

In a fresh development in their row, Sancho has taken the decision to deactivate his Instagram account, with United fans left puzzled by his social media activity. On Tuesday morning, Sancho’s profile was no longer visible on the platform and it appears it has been deleted by the forward.
It comes after The Times reported the Professional Footballers’ Association (PFA) had approached Sancho in an attempt to find a resolution to his row with Ten Hag.
It is believed the United boss is standing firm over his insistence for an apology before he will consider if Sancho can play for the club again. As it stands, there has been nothing to suggest an apology is forthcoming.

The club have backed Ten Hag’s stance after initially supporting Sancho last season, when he spent several weeks away from the team in a bid to help him recapture his form on the pitch.
United confirmed in a brief statement earlier in September that their £73million signing from Borussia Dortmund would be put on an individual training plan away from the team due to a ‘squad discipline issue.
It read: “Jadon Sancho will remain on a personal training programme away from the first-team group, pending resolution of a squad discipline issue.”
Ten Hag claimed Sancho had failed to meet the standards expected of him after explaining his decision to leave him out of the squad: “Jadon, on his performances in training we did not select him,” the Dutchman said.
“You have to reach a level every day at Manchester United and we can make choices in the front line. So for this game he was not selected.”
Having scored 12 goals in 82 appearances for the club, it remains to be seen whether Sancho will play again at Old Trafford. He received interest from Premier League rivals Tottenham and was linked with a move to Chelsea in the summer, but neither move materialised. However, if he is still out in the cold in January, United could decide to offload the £200,000-a-week star.
