Kylian Mbappe would reportedly “be open” to replacing Mohamed Salah at Liverpool.
Salah’s future at Anfield still remains in doubt with Saudi Pro League club Al-Ittihad refusing to back down in their pursuit of the Egyptian megastar. The Reds have already rejected a £150million offer for Salah, but their resolve could be tested once more with Al-Ittihad reportedly preparing a mammoth £200m bid.
Jurgen Klopp has the benefit of the Saudi transfer window closing on 10pm Thursday, meaning even Al-Ittihad have acknowledged that their offer may come too late in the day.
But Liverpool potentially have a replacement lined up if they finally decide to part ways with Salah, in the form of Paris Saint-Germain sensation Kylian Mbappe.

That is according to French outlet L’Equipe, who state the France captain is “open” to the idea of joining Liverpool next summer. Mbappe, widely believed to be a future Ballon d’Or winner, has been continuously linked with a move to Anfield in recent years.
L’Equipe recalled how Mbappe met with Reds representatives and owner John W Henry on a plane, which was circling over the Cote-d'Azur in 2017.
The 24-year-old told Spanish outlet Marca last year: "I have spoken to Liverpool because red is my mother's favourite colour and she loves Liverpool. Why? I don't know.

"We met with them a few years ago when I was at Monaco. It's a great club."
Mbappe has just one year left on his deal, making an otherwise implausible deal possible next summer due to the World Cup winner becoming a free agent at the end of the season. The money earned from Salah’s sale would also go a long way to satisfying Mbappe's lofty wage demands.

It would then come down to Mbappe's own preference, having long been linked with a transfer to Real Madrid, whom he has previously cited as a dream destination. Various reports claim Mbappe has already verbally agreed with Los Blancos president Florentino Perez to sign at the end of the season.
Yet Perez will know all too well that the phenomenal talent is quick to change his mind. Mbappe was expected to sign for Real Madrid at the end of the 2021/22 season but made a shock U-turn by signing a mammoth new contract with PSG.
